Free Play as an Adult

I have been spending almost 8 hours day 5 times a week, on a laminated desk with a white board in front of me with an AC blowing above my head, hands clean, clothes ironed in the last bench of a rectangular squished, well maintained office.
Full stop.
My decision to sit on the last bench is the only one that defends the playfullness that should exist in the job I do. How does one be a designer for play without being playful themselves is a question that has been on my mind for a while now. And so here was a simple solution or a ritual that I have decided to build for myself hoping to carry it on to the team I manage to build in the future if I do decide to make it as a play designer.
Why is free play important?
What does play mean?
How does one learn and reflect through play?
How is free play between adults and children different?
How does one study play?
What are the indicators that someone is playing?
Does play differ between objects picked from the manmade world vs natural world?
What is the politics in play like the politics in design, like the politics of objects?
A passion project to get my mind loose and body in sync to get answers for myself for the above questions. I have for long been depending on research papers and voices from the internet to explain to me the life one builds around play. Here is an attempt to get answers to those for myself by picking an object everyday for 30 days and spending half an hour with it and just freeflowing with it. I will be then documenting my thoughts/ emotions pre and post play session and lets see what this leads to!Write your text here...
